Finance Director

Role:

eCarsTrade is hiring a Finance Director to spearhead the next phase of its growth journey. Our online platform is already used by thousands of customers across Europe and we are looking to expand and strengthen these relationships by further building a compelling end-to-end digital solution for the used car industry.

We are looking for a highly analytical and strategic finance leader with a passion for technology who is not afraid to get their hands dirty. From strategy to execution, the ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion to analyze financial data and turn it into actionable strategic insights, remove inefficiencies wherever they hide, and the grit to make it happen regardless of obstacles.

This role will work closely with the CEO to oversee and improve financial and operational performance, and implement finance-related IT initiatives, while providing data-driven recommendations to further accelerate eCarsTrade’s growth.

Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to and implement the long term financial strategy and roadmap alongside the CEO
  • Lead finance initiatives and provide data-driven, forward-looking recommendations
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, oversee monthly and quarterly financial and operational reporting and dashboards (trend and variance analysis)
  • Co-develop, implement, and oversee investment plans, annual budgets and coordinate budgeting activities across functions
  • Manage cash flows proactively, design and implement tax planning, risk management strategies
  • Expand financial planning and analysis using advanced forecasting models
  • Manage and automate financial controlling, risk management, treasury and financial reporting activities through future-proof systems, processes and KPI dashboards
  • Lead and coordinate finance-related IT projects and initiatives across functions
  • Recommend, design and implement improvement and corrective actions, dashboards and KPIs
  • Ensure compliance of all financial and treasury activities with regard to applicable, country-specific regulations
  • Evaluate and manage capital structure and provide recommendations for fundraising initiatives
  • Identify, prioritize, and pursue high-impact process enhancement opportunities across functions with a view to remove inefficiencies and scale faster
Requirements:
  • Master’s Degree/MBA in Finance, Business Engineering, Business Accounting or similar field
  • 5+ years of relevant experience at a Big 4, corporate and/or venture-backed start-up
  • International, European experience in a similar environment (e.g. automotive/B2B/online marketplace/SaaS) with intimate knowledge of SaaS/marketplace business models
  • Successful experience leading teams and coordinating agile finance/IT projects across functions
  • Experience streamlining financial processes in collaboration with technical teams
  • Solid understanding of corporate finance, advanced accounting, regulations, tax planning, and fundraising
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and modeling skills
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills in a hybrid remote environment
  • Fluency in English and French or Dutch required

Sales Officer/Account Manager

SOLAF BVBA consists of two divisions www.SolafCars.com and www.eCarsTrade.com, we are currently looking for a Account Manager and Sales to join our young energetic multinational team to further develop our clients accounts by giving them the support they need and be part of the future of automotive car trade.

Responsibilities:
  • Cold Callings/Prospecting: look for new potential leads and activate them
  • Cold Callings/Activation&Retention: call your potential leads/clients on a regular basis to boost the sales
  • Treatment of incoming requests from new registered users
  • Development of relationships with assigned accounts with regular follow ups (calls, emails, instant msg)
  • Communicate with potential clients with provided mandatory CRM tools
  • Responsible of the different aspects of the sales from start – purchase process (negotiations, payment terms) to end – pick up including related administrative tasks
  • Identification of potential clients in your target market
  • Build your client portfolio and develop a solid relationship built on costumer satisfaction and service excellence
  • Convert occasional buyers into recurring clients
  • Work closely with the Sales Manager and Product Manager to:

Senior Full Stack Web Developer (Remote)

As a Senior Full Stack Developer, you should be comfortable with both back-end (main focus) and front-end coding, frameworks, and third-party libraries. You should also be a team player with a knack for visual design and functionality.

Together with our CTO and Product Manager, you will help shape our platform from back-end to front-end. From day one, you will take a lot of responsibility and help the company make strategic decisions. We also rely on your expertise to guide us in the decision-making process.

You actively listen to understand what the business wants, and you can make it a reality.

Senior Full Stack Developer has excellent collaboration skills to work with our designer and developers as they work towards creating a finished product. Senior Full Stack Developer knows what and how to delegate to less experienced colleagues.

Main Tasks:
  • Maintain and refactor the existing web platform
  • Develop new features and products, integrate with 3rd party services and APIs
  • Research and integrate new web technologies
  • Resolve support tickets for IT-related issues
  • Analyze business needs and propose technical solutions
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues from other departments and other professionals
  • Create timeframes and work schedules to meet deadlines
  • Supervise junior web developers, analyze areas of weakness, and schedule training sessions accordingly
  • Test the web platform for functionality and provide feedback on the work of junior developers
  • Brainstorm new ideas and features with other developers using wireframing tools
  • Perform system setup and testing, report and resolve bugs
  • Analyze performance bottlenecks and suggest opportunities for improvement
Main requirements:
  • Good understanding of principles of OOP
  • Excellent knowledge of and experience in PHP
  • Experience in other server-side programming languages is a plus
  • Experience with modern PHP frameworks
  • Experience in writing tests with PHPUnit
  • Proficient in Javascript, HTML, CSS and CSS preprocessors, their libraries and frameworks
  • Experience with Angular, React, Vuejs, or similar front-end framework(s) is a plus
  • Experience with wireframing tools
  • Ability to research and adapt new web technologies that add value to the team
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask, delegate and prioritise
  • Problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and integrate well within a team

Preferred requirements:
  • Degree in Computer Science, IT, or similar, or relevant work experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in web development in various environments and roles
  • At least 1 years of experience in a senior role

  • Good customer service and research abilities
  • Experience in teaching and guiding other developers on subjects where they need mentoring
  • Upper-intermediate level in English and Russian
